teamLab Planets TOKYO (Toyosu)
An immersive digital-art museum in Toyosu where you walk barefoot on water and among gardens of light; adult admission around 3.800 ¥.
teamLab Planets is one of the most spectacular digital-art museums in Tokyo and a completely different experience from any traditional gallery. Located on the island of Toyosu, the space is designed to be toured barefoot: you walk over surfaces of warm water that reflect the light, cross rooms where thousands of LEDs create the sensation of floating in the universe and enter the famous Floating Flower Garden, where thousands of living orchids descend around you. Each work reacts to the movement of the visitors, so the experience changes continuously and is never the same twice. Adult admission is around 3.800 ¥ and it is advisable to book in advance because the time slots sell out, especially at the weekend. It is accessed on the Yurikamome line to Shin-Toyosu (one minute's walk) or on the Yurakucho line to Toyosu. Go with clothes you can easily roll up to the knee, as in several rooms you walk through water. The full route lasts between one and two hours. The museum will remain open until the end of 2027.
