Bike and local-food tour in Osaka
A bicycle route through the city with stops to try typical dishes in markets and local neighbourhoods.
The bicycle tour of Osaka with gastronomic stops ideally combines movement with the pleasure of eating: pedalling along the cycle lanes and quiet streets of the city is a comfortable and sustainable way to see neighbourhoods that do not appear in the usual itineraries, while the guide takes you to food stalls, local markets and spots where you can eat like a true Osakan. The route usually lasts between three and four hours and includes the bicycle rental, a helmet if requested and between three and five gastronomic stops with tasting. The usual neighbourhoods are Tennoji, Shinsekai, Tsuruhashi (the Korean district) and residential areas of the south of the city. It is an especially recommended plan for those who have already seen the great monuments and want to see the more everyday Osaka. Prices are around 60-80 euros per person including the bike and the tastings. You don't need to be an expert cyclist; the terrain is mostly flat. Bring comfortable clothes and flat shoes. There are operators with guides in Spanish and English available on platforms such as GetYourGuide or Airbnb Experiences; book at least 24 hours in advance.
